What is Gravity Run

A runner where the only control is which way is down

Gravity Run is a one-button arcade runner. Your runner rolls through a tunnel on its own; each tap flips gravity so it falls to the ceiling or back to the floor. Spikes, pits, saw blades, and bolts end the run on contact and send you back to the start. Reach the finish gate to unlock the next level, and pick up all three stars along the way for a perfect clear.

One button, 18 levels
Tap, click, or press Space to flip gravity. Eighteen tunnels ramp from gentle spike strips to fast runs through saws, bolts, and needles.
Plays in your browser
No download, no install, no plugins, no account. The tunnel is ready the moment the page loads, on desktop and phone.
Every level is beatable
A built-in solver plays each tunnel with a bigger hitbox than yours before you ever see it, so there are no impossible jumps — only better timing.
Progress saved locally
Unlocked levels, stars, best times, and attempts are stored on your device — never on a server — and survive a refresh.

How to play

How to play Gravity Run

One input, perfect timing. Flip between floor and ceiling to stay clear of every hazard, and roll through the finish gate with all three stars.

  1. 1

    The runner moves by itself

As soon as a run starts, your lime runner rolls forward along the tunnel floor at a steady speed. You never steer left or right and you cannot stop — the only thing you control is which way gravity pulls.

  2. 2

    Tap to flip gravity

Tap the tunnel, click, or press Space and gravity reverses: the runner falls up to the ceiling and keeps running upside down. Flip again to drop back to the floor. You can flip whenever the runner is touching a surface.

  3. 3

    Dodge every hazard

Spike strips, open pits, sweeping saw blades, and bolts fired down the lanes all end the run on contact. Be on the other surface — or mid-flip — when you reach them. A crash sends you straight back to the start of the level.

  4. 4

Reach the gate, grab the stars

Roll through the checkered finish gate to clear the level and unlock the next one. Each level hides three stars along the route; collect them all in one run for a perfect three-star clear.

Tips to clear more levels

  • Flip early rather than late. Landing a beat before a hazard is safer than threading it at the last moment.
  • Read two hazards ahead. Where you need to be after the next obstacle decides when to flip for this one.
  • Watch a saw for one full sweep, then pass on the side it just left.
  • An orange arrow on the right edge means a bolt is coming down that lane — move off it now.
  • For needles, flip just before the spikes so you are halfway across the tunnel as you pass them.
  • Clear a level first, then come back for stars. Knowing the layout makes a three-star run much easier.

FAQ

Gravity Run, answered

Straight answers about the free gravity flip runner you can play online in your browser.

What is Gravity Run?

Gravity Run is a one-button running game. Your runner rolls forward through a tunnel on its own, and every tap flips gravity so it falls to the ceiling or back to the floor. Dodge spike strips, pits, saw blades, and bolts, reach the finish gate, and collect up to three stars in each of 18 levels.

Is Gravity Run free to play?

Yes. gravityrun.app is completely free and runs in your browser. There is nothing to buy, download, or install, no account to create, and no levels locked behind a payment — every level unlocks by clearing the one before it.

How do you play Gravity Run?

Tap the tunnel, click, or press Space to flip gravity. The runner moves forward automatically; your job is to be on the right surface — floor, ceiling, or mid-flip — as each hazard arrives. Touching a hazard restarts the level. Reach the checkered gate to clear it.

How many levels are there?

There are 18 levels. They unlock in order, starting with simple spike strips and adding pits, saw blades, bolts, and finally needles (spikes on both surfaces at once) while the speed climbs from level 1 to level 18. You can replay any level you have unlocked.

How do stars work?

Every level has three stars along the route. Fly or roll through a star to collect it, then finish the run for it to count. Your best star count for each level is saved, and the level select shows your total out of 54.

Is this the ABCya Gravity Run?

No. gravityrun.app is an independent game in the same genre — a gravity-switching runner with 18 levels and three stars per level — built from scratch for modern browsers. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ABCya or IXL Learning. It needs no account and runs without plugins.

Is there a Gravity Run 2?

There is no official sequel on this site. gravityrun.app is a fresh take on the gravity-run formula with new levels, saws, bolts, and needles. If you have finished another gravity runner and want new tunnels, these 18 levels are all original.

Is Gravity Run unblocked?

gravityrun.app is an ordinary website: no Flash, no plugins, no downloads, and no embedded frames from other game portals. It loads wherever a normal web page loads. Whether a school or workplace network allows it is up to that network’s administrator — please follow your school or workplace rules.

Can I play Gravity Run on my phone?

Yes. Tap anywhere on the tunnel to flip gravity. The game area and controls fit on a portrait phone screen without scrolling, taps do not zoom the page, and restarting a level is instant.

Does the game save my progress?

Yes, locally. Unlocked levels, best star count and best time per level, attempts, and your sound setting are saved in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is sent to a server and there is no account, so a different device, browser profile, or cleared site data starts fresh.
